Rather belatedly here's the robin pattern I abused this Christmas.I made these for all of my housemates. They're still hanging on their doors, it's cute and nice to know they were appreciated.
On a similar birdy note, here's the scarf I taught in my knitting group. This one was a present so I added the little bird.
It's been a really good pattern to teach, simple enough for a beginner, but with enough happening to keep up motivation. It's been really satisfying seeing first-time knitters finish a fairly complex looking item.
